Bonnie Prince Charlie – Solomon and Beth P4
We are doing The Jacobites for our project in P4/5/6. Bonnie Pince Charlie was born in Rome in Italy on Saturday the 21st of December 1720. He raised the flag at Glenfinnan in 1745. The Jacobites lost the battle of Culloden in 1746 and Bonnie Prince Charlie ran away. Flora MacDonald dressed up Bonnie Prince Charlie as a woman and helped him escape to Skye on a boat. Flora was arrested and put in a dungeon in London. Bonnie prince Charlie escaped to France. Bonnie Prince Charlie died in the same room he was born in in Rome on Monday 21st January 1788

Hello Beth and Solomon
I have just read your interesting article on the life of Bonnie Prince Charlie. Now I HAVENT written to say I remember the day he arrived in Lochaber but I do suggest that Miss Reid takes you along to the West Highland Museum where you will see lots of things about the Jacobites and a lady will show you the swords, shields etc that the Jacobites used.
See u soon
