Bonnie Prince Charlie – Solomon and Beth P4

We are doing The Jacobites for our project in P4/5/6. Bonnie Pince Charlie was born in Rome in Italy on Saturday the 21st of December 1720. He raised the flag at Glenfinnan in 1745. The Jacobites lost the battle of Culloden in 1746 and Bonnie Prince Charlie ran away. Flora MacDonald dressed up Bonnie Prince Charlie as a woman and helped him escape to Skye on a boat. Flora was arrested and put in a dungeon in London. Bonnie prince Charlie escaped to France. Bonnie Prince Charlie died in the same room he was born in in Rome on Monday 21st January 1788

Shinty Dylan P3

We went to try to win the shinty but Banavie won. Daniel in P3 was a good goalie and I scored one goal. Sean in P3 was good at tackling. We came third. We had lots of fun.

Nevis Range Bike Race – 1st P4/5: Ruiaridh (P3)

Hello,

I’m Ruiaridh and I’m in P3. On Sunday the 13th of April I went to Nevis Range in Fort William, Scotland for a bike race. At the start I felt nervous. When I started to cycle the nerves went away. At half way my back started to ache. I got exhausted but I carried on but at the end I was puffed out and when I crossed the finish line I was delighted because I came 1st .

Happy Birthday to Dean!

Sadness

Sadness is cold and blue,

It tastes like salty tears,

Sadness smells like a burning bonfire,

It is pitch black like looking into the sea,

It sounds like a little boy sobbing,

It makes you feel empty inside.

Golden jewelry decorates the Pharoh.

Yellow sunsets blazing hot.

Peachy sky is roasting.

Tangerine sand scorching feet.
